Mutsinda - Kayanza, Burundi
This coffee is a combined lot from various farmers in Kanyanza, and processed in the Mutsinda Washing Station.
Political issues and unsafe conditions for farmers make Burundi a complicated origin, but the quality of what is produced is always high. Most of the coffees produced here are Burbon-derived, which combined with high altitudes, rich volcanic soils, and plentiful rainfall result in very sweet and very complex coffees year to year.
Mutsinda is a bright and complex coffee, with grapefruit acidity upfront, concord grape sweetness, and rich cane sugar on the finish.
